
Training commenced yesterday, Monday, February 19, 2024, at the Vocational Training Center in Kébili after completing all arrangements.
In its initial phase, the center welcomed three groups of trainees specializing in complex installation in building electricity at the level of the professional competency certificate, assistant in complex installation in building electricity at the level of the skills certificate, and electric arc welding using coated metal at the level of the skills certificate.
The training started under the supervision of Mohamed Taieb Khalifi, the former governor of Kébili, in the presence of Othman Mahmoudi, the regional director of employment and vocational training in Kébili, and several regional and local officials, as well as Anouar Al Karous, the center’s director, and several staff members.
Currently, efforts are underway to acquire the remaining equipment and trainees to reach the center’s maximum capacity.
It is expected that training in other specialties will begin during the upcoming autumn 2024 and spring 2025 sessions. These specialties include commercial refrigeration, air conditioning, thermal and sanitary equipment technician, automotive electricity and electronics technician, gasoline and diesel vehicle mechanic, clothing industry technician, clothing industry assistant, beverages technician, cooking technician, kitchen assistant, and beverages technician, as stated on the official page of the Kébili Governorate.
