Following Nefzawa’s field visit as part of the ‘With the Farmer’ program for the greenhouse project in Jendouba last Saturday, in light of the difficulties faced by project farmers, particularly the shortage of irrigation water, Mohamed Taieb Khalifi, the former governor of Gabes, along with the sub-governor of South Gabes, the regional agricultural development commissioner, officials from the commissionerate, and the mayors of Jendouba and South Gabes, and representatives of the farmers, visited yesterday Monday. Various difficulties hindering the sustainability of the project were observed, particularly the problem of irrigation water shortage. Immediate interaction with the farmers and intervention to change the pump to ensure high flow were carried out, as reported by the farmer Abdelmajid Al-Na’as.
